iPhone expansion continues: Europe, Mideast, Africa, Atlantis…

Okay, the last one hasn’t actually been added to the roster…yet.

The list of countries where the iPhone isn’t available in or coming to may soon be the easier list to write. Austria, Belgium, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Jordan, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Switzerland and select African markets were all added to the lineup today thanks to a new agreement between Apple and Orange, one of the world’s leading mobile operators.

This follows an earlier rumor of Orange looking to expand the device out of France, where it currently distributes it. Poland, one of the countries listed previously as a possibility for this expansion, is on this list, but the other, Spain, is not.

We now have an expansion roster including Canada, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy, India, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa, Turkey, India, Australia, Singapore and the Philippines. As well as the possibility of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico and Uruguay.

Still, no China yet. Not sure about Timbuktu.
