It’s been known for a while that Apple was going to completely revamp the look of its MacBook Pro laptop series. It’s had the same basic design for years now. But up until now we’ve only been able to guess what the new version will look like based on rumors and some leaked shots of the disassembled casing. Tonight come the first actual shots of the device before it is announced tomorrow.

The shots, sent to the gadget blog Engadget, show a system that looks like a cross between the MacBook air ultra-slim laptop and the current iMac desktop computers. Even as blurry as the pictures are (was the cameraman drunk or just nervous?), it looks beautiful. Beautiful enough that I’m sitting here writing this on my 8-month old MacBook Pro and already toying with the idea of selling this one on eBay and upgrading.

Another new rumor to add to the list for the MacBook Pros it that they’ll have two NVIDIA GPUs inside, a source tells Engadget. So this thing should be a graphics beast. Will we see a Blu-ray option as well.

Update: Also of note (as our commenter gruen pointed out) is that the trackpad lacks a mouse button. The latest rumor on that front is that the entire trackpad itself will act as a mouse button. The current MacBook Pro trackpads already have limited multi-touch capabilities, looks like those will get more advanced.

Below, see the MacBook Pro in its closed state. While neither of these shots are confirmed yet, I’d be pretty surprised if they weren’t the real deal based on all we know.
