Former Yahoo CEO Carol Bartz resigned from the company’s board of directors Friday, according to a Wall Street Journal report published today.

Bartz was fired from her post as Yahoo’s chief executive September 6. Previously, she stated that she didn’t plan on leaving the board, despite conflicting comments from Yahoo board members.

Bartz has made several inflammatory comments about the situation — calling Yahoo’s board members a bunch of “doofuses” and also (in her first interview since getting fired) told Fortune that the board “fucked her over”.

The comments might have caused Bartz to violate the non-disparagement clause in her employment contract, which would cost her an estimated $10 million in severance pay.
