Aeria Games, one of the players in the free-to-play online game market, is moving into mobile games with the announcement today of its Aeria Mobile division.

Santa Clara, Calif.-based Aeria Games has a big presence in free-to-play downloadable games with 35 million users. But now it plans to launch one to two new mobile games per month via its Aeria Mobile division. It will start with three titles: Eden Eternal: Monster Arena, a version of the online game Eden Eternal; the turn-based online tank combat game Tuff Tanks; and a brand new turn-based military strategy game, Armygeddon.

Lan Hoang, chief executive of Aeria Games, said, “We will bring the Aeria Games experience to both new players and existing fans in the fast-growing but underserved mobile core gaming arena.”

Aeria Games was founded in 2006 and it targets hardcore gamers who play via online PCs. The new mobile division will be in Santa Clara, Calif., and have 25 employees.
