Diablo III’s North American fans are just a few hours away from the servers finally opening. Tonight marks the end of almost 10 years of speculation and anticipation, and excited gamers have bombarded the Internet with pictures of their preparations for the game’s release. I’ve collected a few of them below.
Reddit user PapaOscar90 knows that refreshment is key when you sit down for a long night of gaming, but I’m pretty sure he’s going to regret his choice of beverages later. Possibly when he passes out from dehydration.
nJoyy is a little closer; you can see some food in there. It’s not great food, mind, but, you know … it’s there. Pringles will soak up some of that booze, and the energy drinks will cancel the rest out. That’s how it works, right?
I found this spread in a German forum, and this person has the right idea. Look at how many of the food groups are in there, and behold the organization of portions! I look at this with full faith that whoever prepared it is going to be alive on Wednesday.
Some other guys might not be, though. Codeninja on Reddit knows it’s best to make sure your loved ones know what to do if they find you slumped over a computer. I’m a little surprised, though: Do NOT Resuscitate? I don’t think this guy can really call himself a fan.
While we’re joking around, who doesn’t like a good pun? Well … Onceabird, for one.
Finally, we have woodsy8950, who I’d like to nominate “Most Gracious Person of the Diablo III Launch.” She preordered the game for her boyfriend. And that’s not all.
That’s right: She traded in her own electronics for credit towards the game. Still, people do that every day (probably; I have no sources). So why does she get the award?
Cake, is why.
… although I’d really like see some more vegetables in there.
Happy Diablo III (and, to a lesser extent, Max Payne 3) Day, everyone. How are you celebrating? Let us know in the comments.
