Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD: Mall

Activision’s Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD, which will consist of levels from the first two games in the popular sports franchise reworked with updated high-definition graphics, will receive downloadable content after it launches on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network sometime this summer, according to a statement from the publisher today.

This is nothing new. It’s actually more surprising when a major developer or publisher announces that an upcoming title will not have DLC. The fact that this announcement comes before the title has received a firm release date, however, is a bit odd. The new content will include stages from Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3, “perhaps the most critically acclaimed game in the whole franchise,” according to the official press release. Activision is throwing the choice of THPS3 maps in the new content out to its community through its Facebook page.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD will sell for $15 whenever it comes out; pricing on the DLC has yet to be determined.
