Third-party accessory maker Nyko has revealed a new ambidextrous, arcade-style fight stick for the PlayStation 3 at the Electronic Entertainment Expo trade show.
The Free Fighter, which will set you back $179.99 when it ships to select retailers this September, is made from Sanwa Denshi arcade-quality parts. It’s not the first ambidextrous fight stick announced this year (Chinese manufacturer QanBa announced its Battle of Wits controller back in February), but Nyko’s is impressive for the additional configuration options on offer. The joystick and buttons are separate pieces to allow gamers to play right- or left-handed by switching them around. The two sections don’t even need to be attached to one another; a link cable will accommodate players who prefer a wider stance.
