Sometimes fans have to take matters into their own hands.
The publisher released a patch today for the Wii U and 3DS versions of Super Smash Bros., its popular fighting game series. The update changed the power of many characters’ moves, but Nintendo won’t actually tell fans exactly what the patch did. So players are taking it upon themselves to list all of the changes.
The community over at popular Smash Bros. site Smash Boards has created a forum thread that details which moves were strengthened and weakened. People are figuring this out simply by playing as each character in Training Mode and comparing the strength of moves to their damage values and other properties as they were before the patch.
Notably, a number of Diddy Kong’s moves are now weaker. Many thought that the fighter was overpowered, so this is a welcome change for a lot of players. Lucina also saw a lot of her moves strengthened, and Pac-Man’s slow-throw animation is a bit faster.
