Hearthfire blends The Sims with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

You’ve defeated all the dragons and burned through all the vampires. Yet you just can’t break free from the brutal, snowy lands in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The idea behind its latest expansion, Hearthfire, is about actually setting roots in Tamriel: building homes, crafting furnishings, and even adopting children. So if you’ve always wanted to blend The Sims into Skyrim, here’s your opportunity.

Hearthfire launches Sept. 4 on the Xbox 360 for 400 Microsoft points (that’s $5 in real money). Like Dawnguard, PC and PlayStation 3 players will have to wait for it to come to that platform.

I can’t wait to move my prissy Dark Elf husband Revyn Sadri into a regal country mansion. He’ll probably hate it, and be annoyed when I ask him to cook. You know, the usual. I wonder if he’ll also hate children….
