“Mid-November.” That’s the expected arrival time for the Galaxy Note II, Samsung’s latest and largest smartphone.
Samsung announced today that the device will make its appearance on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and U.S. Cellular — making it a phone that’s targeting just about everyone.
Announced last month, the Galaxy Note II features a 5.5-inch screen, updated design, and a more advanced S Pen stylus, which adds features like the ability to hover over on-screen items before selecting them.

Missing from Samsung’s announcement today, however, is the device’s exact release date and price point, the announcing of which Samsung says it’s leaving to the carriers themselves (which renders today’s news somewhat useless).
Besides the Galaxy S III, the Galaxy Note II is probably Samsung’s strongest competition this holiday season against the iPhone 5, which is already selling like mad even before its release.
When VentureBeat’s Devindra Hardawar got his hands on the device at a press event earlier this month, he was impressed that Samsung had managed to increase the screen size and performance of the device while not making it any heavier than the previous Note. The one big drawback? The device clearly isn’t made for people with smaller hands. So just keep that in mind.
