Mass Effect trilogy on Xbox 360 won’t include any of the paid DLC

Developer BioWare is sharing the details about its upcoming trilogy bundle for its blockbuster science-fiction role-playing-game franchise, Mass Effect. According to BioWare’s official site, the Xbox 360 version will not include any of the paid downloadable content. Meanwhile, the PC release will only include select DLC for the first game.

The studio will release Mass Effect Trilogy for PC and Xbox 360 on November 6 — a PlayStation 3 release is due later. It includes all three retail games in a new package with exclusive box art.

The developer announced that all versions of the trilogy will include the original online-pass content. That means Mass Effect 2 will have the Cerberus Network. which comes with an exclusive character, a new mission, and special gear. Mass Effect 3’s online-pass grants players access to that game’s online co-op multiplayer.j

The issue is that the PC version will include $6 of content that won’t come with the 360 release and yet both versions will cost $59.99.

On the PC, the original Mass Effect disc will include the Bring Down The Sky and Pinnacle Station DLC missions. On the Xbox 360, users must purchase that content through the Xbox Live Marketplace. Bring Down The Sky is 80 Microsoft Points and Pinnacle Station is 400.

For Mass Effect 2, customers will need to buy the Overlord, Stolen Memory, and Lair of the Shadow Broker content packs separately on PC as well as Xbox 360. The same goes for the Mass Effect 3 Leviathan add-on.

BioWare hasn’t announced any details about the state of DLC for the PlayStation 3 release.
