Bankrupt game publisher THQ said it will sell off some of its remaining game properties in an auction. The company has designated six franchises for separate, individual bids. These include Darksiders, Red Faction, Homeworld, MX, other THQ-owned software (Big Beach Sports, Destroy All Humans!, Summoner, and others) and other licensed software (Marvel Super Hero, Supreme Commander, and Worms).

These will be auctioned off in groups, with the sale processing completing by mid-May. Bidders have to prove they can pay and submit initial bids by April 1 and final bids by April 15. The unsecured creditors committee and the company will determine the winners of the bids. The sales will be submitted to the court for final approval in May.

THQ filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in December. Last month, THQ sold three of its studios and a number of games in development. It sold off Turtle Rock Studios’ Evolve, Homefront 2, Metro: Last Light, and South Park: The Stick of Truth. The sales netted the bankrupt company more than $72 million.
