The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) trade show, which took place in Los Angeles this week, is not just about unveiling gaming’s newest and biggest releases. It’s also a celebration of gaming culture and its history. To that end, the Video Game History Museum brought along a massive showcase of consoles, accessories, and other artifacts so attendees could get nostalgic or learn for the first time how well wood paneling and consumer electronics go together.

This year’s exhibition was “well over twice the size of last year’s,” according to the Museum’s website, and our photographer got plenty of pictures of bygone gizmos for your enjoyment. Check them out below.
