Now you can brag about your exploits in a mobile game on camera with FaceCam for Everyplay Replays.

Applifier is introducing a way for gamers to shoot a video of themselves and insert it into a video replay as they narrate their mobile game experiences. They can then share that video commentary instantly from a mobile phone and on the web.

The FaceCam for Everyplay Replays is available today as an update on the popular mobile game replay service. Everyplay Replays has seen rapid adoption since Helsinki-based Applifier introduced it last summer. The number of minutes of replays shared via Everyplay rose 750 percent in the first quarter compared to the previous fourth quarter of 2012, according to Jussi Laakkonen, the chief executive of Applifier. Players are sharing over 2 minutes of gameplay every minute on YouTube via Everyplay.

Fans are already posting funny video replays using the FaceCam feature. The camera records the game being played on the screen and the player’s face simultaneously. Videos can be styled and then shared to Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

Developers have integrated Everyplay Replays into 85 games, including Badland, Bad Piggies, Turbo Racing League, Rocka Bowling, and Nimble Quest. Video replay sharing is becoming a big feature in a variety of game platforms, and it will be built into the upcoming PlayStation 4 and Xbox One video game consoles.

“We can’t wait to get Everyplay with FaceCam in front of Nimble Quest players, so they can share with the world just how intense and fun the game can be,” said Ian Marsh, cofounder of NimbleBit, whose hit games include Pocket Frogs, Tiny Towers, and Pocket Planes.

“Game developers and players alike are embracing Everyplay for sharing and watching funny, skillful and creative replays. This drives substantial improvement in organic discovery and improved retention for games,” said Laakkonen. “We are already seeing player s who share great content become stars to follow on Everyplay and today’s release of FaceCam will further that by enabling players to share deeper, more meaningful  game experiences.”
