With every new flagship Galaxy smartphone, Samsung continues to beat its own shipment records.
Samsung reportedly shipped 20 million Galaxy S4 units in just 68 days, according to Korean news outlets reporting on comments from JK Shin, the company’s mobile head.
Samsung hasn’t confirmed the numbers to U.S. press just yet, but if they’re accurate, it means that the Galaxy S4 reached the 20 million shipment mark almost two months faster than the Galaxy S III (which hit that milestone more than twice as fast as the Galaxy S II). Samsung announced the Galaxy S4 hit 10 million shipments in late May.

Ultimately, the numbers don’t tell us much we don’t already know. Samsung’s combination of marketing prowess and mainstream appeal has made it the king of Android smartphone sales, and it doesn’t look like that’s stopping anytime soon. I found the Galaxy S4 to be a great phone in my review, albeit one that’s overstuffed with features and cheesy style.
