Nickelodeon has a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles television show. That means it’s a good time for publisher Activision to release a new game based on the butt-kicking reptiles.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a new beat-em-up game for Xbox 360, Wii, and 3DS. It features similar play to the early arcade games based on the original cartoon series. Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, and Leonardo — the titular turtles — team up to fight off villains in the streets, the sewers, and more. Players can drop in at any time for co-op play in the Xbox 360 and Wii versions of the game.

The new Turtles game should hit North American retailers and online stores on Oct. 22.

“We’re thrilled to debut this new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game for our younger Turtles fans,”  Nickelodeon senior vice president Sherice Torres said in a statement. “Jam-packed with all the ninjas, nunchucks, and non-stop action Turtles fans crave, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is set to delight fans around the globe when it launches in time for the holidays.”

Nickelodeon debuted the new show in September and is targeting young boys with the show. It will likewise target a younger demographic.
