Microsoft is cutting prices by $100 on its Surface Pro tablet this weekend, according to The Verge.

The 10 percent price cut reduces the 64 gigabyte version of the Pro to $799 and the 128-gigabyte version is now $899. Prices have been lowered in the U.S., Canada, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. The price cut is in effect from Aug. 4 to Aug. 29, according to a confirmation from Microsoft.

The cuts come after Microsoft heavily discounted the Surface RT tablets. Microsoft took a $900 million write-off related against inventory due to slow sales of Surface tablets. The discounts are raising speculation that new versions of the Surface RT and Surface Pro models may be on the way. Intel recently released its Haswell-based processor family with much better battery life and graphics performance. Microsoft has also been testing versions with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 processor.
