Developer Volition won’t release Saints Row IV until Aug. 20, but that should give fans plenty of time to create their custom President of the United States using the Saints Row: Inauguration Station create-a-character app.
Saints Row IV lets players design any character they want to serve as the country’s leader. To make sure fans get to play as exactly what they want right from the beginning, Volition created the Saints Row IV: Inauguration Station app, which it released on Xbox 360 and Steam today for free. The Inauguration Station is the open-world crime game’s full character editor broken out into a separate release. The create-a-character app will also launch on PlayStation Network next week.
Players can upload their creations to SaintsRow.com and later download them into the game. Fans can also share their characters with friends and other Saints Row players.
Saints Row IV is known for its wacky and bizarre humor, so gamers naturally have few limits on the strange humans (or nonhumans) they can create to star in their adventures with the Saints gang. This will enable players to break ground if they choose to make the first female president, the first clown president, or the first female clown president.
Saints Row IV is an open-world action game. Its plot has aliens invading Earth and trapping the President in a virtual world. For the first time in franchise history, characters will get access to superpowers that allow them to run like the Flash and jump like the Incredible Hulk.
