One of the best Scrabble players in the world barely speaks English. Panupol Sujjayakorn decided that instead of learning a whole language, he would just memorize the 120,000-word Scrabble dictionary so he could play the game.

You English-only speakers can do the same thing with Zynga’s Words With Friends now that the developer is releasing the game in seven new languages. Zynga revealed today that the game is now available in Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Danish, Dutch, Russian, and Swedish.

Even in its expanded international version, Words With Friends is still free in the iOS and Android app markets. It’s still English-only on Facebook and in Amazon’s Kindle App Store.

Zynga revealed that it ended up creating 5 million new word entries for the seven new languages. The makes the international dictionary around 20 times larger than the English one.

Now, excuse me while I memorize all of the “Z” words in Italian … “zaffata” — that’s gonna get me some points!
