With the proliferation of web-enabled screens everywhere now — from smartphones and tablets, to in-dash car interfaces — there’s a major need for businesses who want to deliver content and apps across multiple platforms.

UIEvolution’s connected screen platform, dubbed Evolution, aims to do just that by giving you an easy way to build contend across multiple screens and platforms. The company announced today that it has raised $8 million led by Intel Capital, with participation by Shaw Capital.

“In addition to expanding our successful mobile business, this new round of funding will provide the necessary resources for UIEvolution to continue our growth and develop cutting-edge software solutions for automotive and other connected consumer experiences; verticals where customer demand is growing rapidly,” said Chris Ruff, CEO and President of UIEvolution, in a statement.

The company has created two specific business divisions — automotive and connected devices — to tackle the specific problems that those industries face.
