The Legend of Zelda’s titular princess is preparing to throw down with the rest of the Nintendo characters in the next Super Smash Bros. fighter. Nintendo confirmed Zelda is a playable character for the chaotic brawler, which is due out for both 3DS and Wii U in 2014.
In the upcoming sequel, players will once again take control of Zelda in her Twilight Princess form, which previously appeared in Super Smash Bros. Brawl for Wii. Prior to that, in Super Smash Bros. Melee for GameCube, Nintendo used the Ocarina of Time Zelda.
It’s likely that Zelda will have many of her moves from the last entry in the series. In Brawl, the princess could summon a shield, teleport, and shoot fireballs.
Zelda is the latest addition to a roster that includes several series veterans as well as a few new faces. Here’s the confirmed cast so far:
- Mario (Super Mario Bros.)
- Luigi (Super Mario Bros.)
- Peach (Super Mario 64)
- Donkey Kong (Donkey Kong Country)
- Bowser (Super Mario Bros.)
- Kirby (Kirby)
- Pikachu (Pokémon)
