It’s hard to imagine that a site as vibrant, modern, and exciting as Facebook is already 10 years old.
What started as a dorm-room prank has now become a billion-user behemoth. Yet as big as it gets, Facebook still manages to live up to its hacker credo: Move fast and break things.
With nearly a billion mobile users and the majority of its revenue coming from mobile, Facebook has shown that it can, in fact, move fast enough to keep pace with present trends and prepare itself for the future.
“It’s been an incredible journey so far, and I’m so grateful to be a part of it,” said Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg in an emailed statement on his company’s tenth anniversary.
