All five of Guardians of the Galaxy's main cast will be available as Disney Infinity characters

Executive producer John Vignocchi opened an advanced Guardians of the Galaxy screening earlier this week by announcing that the film’s main characters will be making their way into Disney Infinity’s upcoming Marvel Super Heroes 2.0 version. Like the Spider-Man set unveiled at this year’s E3, five Guardians of the Galaxy character figurines will be available for use in an exclusive level playset and in the game’s open-ended Toy Box mode.
The playset will contain figurines for Star-Lord and Gamora, and will hit store shelves alongside Infinity’s 2.0 launch this fall. The other three characters will be available separately. Drax, an up-close melee fighter, Rocket Raccoon, a dual-wielding pistoleer, and Groot, a “Dhalsim-like” character who extends his limbs for medium-range attacks, will all cost extra. Studio Gobo, who worked on Pirates of the Carribean for Disney Infinity’s first iteration, designed the Guardians of the Galaxy playset.
All of the Guardians of the Galaxy characters can be played in Infinity’s open-ended Toy Box mode.
Star-Lord is one of the characters bundled in with the Guardians of the Galaxy Infinity playset.
Rocket Raccoon has some heavy area-of-effect special moves to help clear the entire screen.
Rocket Racoon dual wields heavy pistols which make him a surprising powerhouse.
Rail slides will play a large part in the Guardians of the Galaxy Infinity playset.
Groot’s projectiles come in the form of razor-sharp leaves.
Groot’s combat moves make him ideal for crowd control.
Groot has been compared to Street Fighter’s Dhalsim, with the ability to extend his arms for longer range attacks.
Gamora’s speed gives her an advantage over lightly armored enemies.
Gamora is a fast, sword-wielding fighter.
Drax is a up-close, melee brawler.
Unlike most action heroes, Drax actually looks at the explosions he causes.
Drax’s daggers can also be used to help him crawl up walls.
