Starting today, Kickstarter users in Scandinavia and Ireland can create their own projects on the popular crowdfunding site.
Previously, Kickstarter users in the regions above could only contribute funds to existing projects. Prior to today’s launch, only Kickstarter users in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the Netherlands could create their own crowdfunded projects.
The expansion is noteworthy, but also not earth-shattering.
Kickstarter details that users in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Ireland can start creating projects on Kickstarter today but won’t be able to “launch” those projects publicly until October 21.
