Today Adobe announced that its industry-leading image editor, Photoshop, can now run on Google’s cloud-powered Chromebooks.

Adobe plans to launch its entire Creative Cloud suite of apps for the Chromebook, but for now just Photoshop is available. Unfortunately, only Creative Cloud education customers in North America can try out the new cloud-powered Photoshop today.

It’s not yet clear when Adobe plans to launch the Photoshop Chromebook beta to the wider public. Adobe made clear in its announcement, however, that it considers this project to be just an “experiment.”
