Today stock media giant Shutterstock announced the launch of Sequence, a “lightweight” video editor that only runs in Google’s Chrome browser.

Sequence supports basic video editing features, like trimming and ordering clips, and lets you upload your own video and audio files. Of course, Shutterstock’s video editor has a stock media tie-in; Sequence also enables users to include (and pay for) “over two million Shutterstock videos and audio tracks” from the company’s library.

Shutterstock says its “goal was to make it as easy as possible for anyone to quickly concept ideas, match footage, and share their vision with others.” Built at a company hackathon this year, Sequence marks Shutterstock’s fifth “Labs” product, but stands out as Shutterstock’s first tool designed specifically for creating new content.
