Get your Android tablets ready, because you’ll get to celebrate the holidays with some Hearthstone.

Blizzard announced Android tablets will get the collectible card game Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft next month. The company also confirmed a new expansion, Goblins vs. Gnomes, will hit around the same time. Blizzard is holding its annual BlizzCon fan event in Anaheim, Calif. today, and the company is using its keynote presentation to make several new announcements. Hearthstone is out now for PC, Mac, and iPad.

While Hearthstone is due out on Android tablets next month, Android phones and iPhones will have to wait until early next year.

Android is a key platform for Hearthstone. Google’s mobile operating system is huge in regions like China, South Korea, and Japan. Bringing the game to the mobile industries in those regions could give the game a serious boost. Read our full report on this subject for more.

While Android-tablet owners are excited about finally having the game on the go, everyone will get the chance to enjoy the new expansion.

Blizzard says the add-on will explore the beef between World of Warcraft’s two most quarrelsome races: the goblins and gnomes. In fact, Blizzard is calling the downloadable content Goblins vs. Gnomes.

The first expansion for Hearthstone, Curse of Naxxramas, debuted earlier this year. It introduced a single-player campaign and new cards. Goblins vs. Gnomes will include similar content, and is likely to get fans to re-engage with the game.
