Amazon launches Zocalo apps for Android and iOS, adds support for up to 5TB files

Amazon Web Services is getting more serious about its Zocalo cloud file-sharing service, today announcing the release of new mobile apps for Zocalo.

And the service can now handle files as large as 5TB, according to a blog post announcing the Zocalo updates.

Clearly, Amazon wants to show its strengths relative to popular file-sharing applications from Box, Dropbox, and other companies hungry for users and paying customers. Android and iOS apps for Zocalo are certainly a reasonable addition following the initial announcement of the service earlier this year — and arguably something Amazon should have made available from the get-go.

Zocalo became available for everyone to use just three months ago.

You can download the iOS app Apple’s app store and the Android app in the Google Play Store. Both are free.
