Kabam is shifting more of its focus to mobile.

The social game developer has given most of its web-based games to San Francisco publisher RockYou, according to GamesIndustry.biz. Kabam, which is valued around $1 billion, will put more of its focus on mobile gaming, a market that industry research firm Newzoo predicts could hit $25 billion in worldwide revenues by the end 2014.

The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle Earth and Fast & Furious 6: The Game developer will still hold on to some of its web-based games, including Realm of the Mad God and Castle Age.

“This is a highly strategic move for Kabam as we are concentrating all of our development might and muscle on mobile games for our core North American and European markets, and expansion to Asia,” said Kabam chief operating officer Kent Wakeford in a statement sent to GamesIndustry.
