We’re about to get our first taste of Borderlands on the new systems.
Publisher 2K announced today that its bundling last year’s Borderlands: The Pre-sequel and 2012’s Borderlands 2 into one $60 package for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a March 24 release date. Both first-person shooter/role-playing game hybrids originally came out for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC (Borderlands 2 also had a release on the portable PlayStation Vita).
Dubbed Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, the bundle includes enhanced graphics and all of the downloadable content released for the originals. You can transfer save files from the older consoles to their newer counterparts.
2K is also releasing Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Claptrap-in-a-Box Edition, which comes with the game and a remote-controlled version of Borderlands robotic mascot, Claptrap. That fancy package sets you back $400.
