The Lego Movie Videogame now works on your iPhone and iPad.
Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announces today that the game adaptation of the movie adaptation of the its block-building toys is now available on iOS devices. It follows Emmet, an average Lego citizen who just does what he’s supposed to, as he gets sucked into an unexpected adventure. The Lego Movie Videogame will set you back $5, and you can download it right here. Mobile is a huge market worth approximately $21 billion in revenues, and the Lego games appeal to the families and children that make up a significant chunk of that audience.
As with other Lego video games, like Lego Star Wars or Lego Batman, characters explore a blocky world. This game features 45 levels, and you are not stuck playing them as Emmet. Warner Bros. promises that you can unlock over 90 hidden characters from the film.
Since The Lego Move Videogame is a port of a console game, Warner Bros. is including two ways to control the action. You can either use direct touch controls or a virtual onscreen gamepad. It also has physical gamepad support.
Finally, developer TT Games, which has produced more than a dozen Lego games at this point, changed the way the minifig characters animate. Now, they look more like they do in the movie and how they move in real life. You can see that for yourself in the trailer below:
