After weeks of rumors, it’s starting to look like Apple really is working on an electric car.

A new report from the Wall Street Journal says that Apple now has “hundreds of employees” working on the project, which CEO Tim Cook apparently green-lit a year ago. The project — dubbed “Titan” — could end up involving as many as 1,000 Apple employees. The WSJ cites sources familiar with the project.

The “iCar,” as it will no doubt end up being called, is said to look like a minivan.

The story comes just a few hours after a Financial Times story saying that Apple is actively recruiting engineers with automotive experience.
