BBC Radio 1 host Zane Lowe is reportedly leaving the broadcaster for Apple.
The 41-year-old DJ joined the station in 2003. His eponymous nightly radio show grew to enjoy a massive following in the UK and abroad, particularly for its emphasis on new and unheard talent.
Lowe’s last program will air March 5th, according to a report from the BBC.
His show also became known for exclusive interviews and in-studio performances from some of the biggest names in the music industry. (A quick YouTube search is all you need.)

In a statement, Lowe said “I want to thank everyone at Radio 1 for their support and friendship. The station has allowed me to share incredible music with the country’s best music fans.”
There are no details about Lowe’s position or responsibilities at Apple, but the news comes shortly after Billboard’s report on Apple’s shiny new streaming service which is rumored to launch this summer.
