Today T-Mobile announced its latest “Uncarrier” pitch. The company today debuted a suite of small-business services, including a mobile plan that T-Mobile claims costs “42 percent less” than business plans offered by AT&T and Verizon.
For the actual plan, T-Mobile says it will offer 10 lines for $160, 100 lines for $1,500, and 1,000 lines for $15,000. In addition, T-Mobile partnered with GoDaddy to offer a free .com domain and site (something that usually costs a few bucks a month). The company also says it will offer a custom .com email in partnership with Microsoft.
During its last Uncarrier-branded event, T-Mobile announced Data Stash, a feature which lets customers save their unused data for later use. And earlier this week, T-Mobile extended that offering to pre-paid customers. Other past Uncarrier updates include the debut of “Music Freedom” (limitless music streaming via select services) and free international data and texts.
As we’ve said, “the Uncarrier concept represents T-Mobile’s strategy to uproot the frustrating ways mobile carriers restrict and overcharge users in the U.S. It’s also a great marketing ploy for T-Mobile, which lags behind market leaders AT&T and Verizon.”

Some, including the chief executive of T-Mobile’s parent company, have criticized the Uncarrier concept for being “unsustainable.” In response, T-Mobile U.S. chief John Legere called this criticism “total bullshit.”
