Fighting vicious wars is a bit easier when you have friends who can help you.

Today, publisher DeNA added a much-requested guild system to Blood Brothers 2, its popular mobile role-playing game for iOS and Android devices. Players can create or join existing guilds and talk to each other with the new chat function. Everyone in a guild contributes to team-based rewards like increasing stats and earning new skills. If one person makes an in-app purchase, the rest of the team receives a gift. New members will retroactively get all of the guild’s previous upgrades.

The free-to-play Blood Brothers 2 came out in January. The first game in the series was on Google Play’s top 10 grossing chart for seven months and had over 35 million downloads. According to DeNA, it has a “healthy influx of players” who are still enjoying the original Blood Brothers.

Guilds also have an advantage when it comes to a player-versus-player event called From the Ashes. They have the chance to earn prizes in both the Arena mode and in a separate leaderboard that adds up all of your teammates’ points.
