The handset maker OnePlus says its second flagship phone, the OnePlus 2, will be powered by a USB-C cable.

The company has a regrettable habit of announcing specs for new devices one at a time on Twitter, and today’s reveal was about the USB-C port.

“We want to lead the way in power connectivity,” the company tweeted.

Only one other Android phone — the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 — is even rumored to be getting a USB-C port, but that phone won’t be announced for months. So OnePlus may indeed be first to the dance. Future iPhones are expected to convert to USB-C for power and data, too.

Apple brought USB-C technology into the public eye when it announced in March that its new MacBook’s sole port for power and data is USB-C.

Back in March, the OnePlus One was made available for sale across the whole of the European Union, taking its total launch markets to more than 30.
