Brazilians looking to play a soccer game without a console are in luck.
Publisher Konami announced today that GameFly Streaming on Samsung smart TVs will give the Brazil market access to the soccer simulator Pro Evolution Soccer 2015. It runs on cloud computing via streaming, so you don’t need a console or a PC to play it. Konami claims that it is the first to deliver major digital football content via cloud gaming.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 originally came out last November for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. While Konami is trying to exit the console gaming market, PES is big, annual franchise for them. Delivering the experience via a streaming service, however, kind of no longer makes it a console game. Traditional consoles have had trouble selling in Brazil due to steep taxes in the country.
