Following leaks last month, Chinese smartphone upstart OnePlus just put out a teaser today for the rumoured OnePlus X — its second device of the year — alongside an October 29 date for a London event where we can expect to see the device unveiled.
Based on the earlier leaks, it’s possible we may see a phablet device (likely with a 5.5-inch display) priced around $250, with a fingerprint scanner and dual cameras round back. The Shenzhen-based company took the wraps off its $389 second-generation flagship device, the OnePlus 2, back in July. Company co-founder Carl Pei already confirmed there would be a second device launched this year.
For now, you can check out our thoughts after spending a month with the OnePlus 2 here, as well as our initial review of the phone here. As for the OnePlus X, we’ll need to wait a few more weeks to finally learn what the disruptive smartphone maker has up its sleeve.
