Creatives in India now have a free studio facility for making videos, as Google today opened a YouTube Space in Mumbai, its eighth hub, globally.

Similar to its existing studio hubs around the world, the new Mumbai YouTube Space offers courses, equipment, workshops, collaborations, and more. YouTube teamed up with local film school Whistling Woods International (WWI) for the launch, which was first announced in August. Within the WWI facilities, YouTube creators will find a 1,400 square foot space just for them.

Part of the offering includes a lounge, workshop area, and a 400-square foot studio, and there are two machines built to support the burgeoning 4K video standard.

The first YouTube Space opened in London back in 2012, and studios have since opened in Los Angeles, Tokyo, New York, São Paulo, Berlin, and Paris.
