Another Fire Emblem character joins the Smash Bros. roster.

Corrin, a character from Fire Emblem Fates, is coming to Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS. Nintendo made the announcement today during the last Nintendo Direct video dedicated to the fighting game series. Like Robin and the Wii Fit Trainer, Corrin can be either male or female. Corrin is available for download in February, but Nintendo did not release a price.

Fire Emblem Fates has been out in Japan, but it’s coming out in the U.S. on June 25.

Corrin is one of the last fighters to join these versions of Smash, along with Cloud (who’s out today) and Bayonetta. Nintendo has previously released Mewtwo, Ryu, Roy, and Lucas as downloadable characters. The Wii U and 3DS versions of Smash are the first that Nintendo has released DLC for, and it’s helped to keep interest strong in Nintendo’s latest fighter (especially as it grows on the competitive scene).
