Xbox Live Gold subscribers on Xbox One are about to get four highly regarded hits in April.
Microsoft announced its lineup for Games With Gold in April, which you will get access to if you subscribe to the Xbox Live Gold subscription for $60 per year or $10 a month. The company has taken to reiterating how important its Xbox Live service is to its core gaming strategy. The worldwide gaming industry generates $99.3 billion in spending, and Microsoft is positioning Xbox Live — and its “free” games — as a key way of striking out at that audience.
As is typical, the four Games With Gold are all coming to Xbox One and two of them are also for Xbox 360. Sci-fi horror-shooter Dead Space and open-world crime game Saints Row IV were originally releases for Microsoft’s last system, but they are also coming to Xbox One thanks to the system’s backward compatibility.
For the Xbox One-only games, you’re getting the first season of Telltale adventure game The Wolf Among Us and open-world punk shooter Sunset Overdrive.
