I guess we’re all doomed for a little longer.
Doom’s official Twitter page revealed that the open beta for the multiplayer part of the upcoming first-person shooter will go on for an extra day. It was originally supposed to end on June 17, but it will now last until today (June 18) at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. The Doom series has sold over 10 million copies, and this latest entry in the franchise will come out on May 13 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Open beta tests not only help developers test servers and find bugs, but they also serve as marketing tools, giving players a taste of a game and building more hype.

Doom’s multiplayer focuses on fast-paced action, with players trying to blow each other up with rocket launchers, shotguns, and other, more exotic weapons. You can also transform into a power demon if you manage to find a rare power-up on the map.
