The big companies are moving into esports, which wandered for many years in the wilderness.

Esports is expected grow to $892 million by the end of this year, market researcher SuperData forecasts, and that 1 billion people will know about competitive gaming. Investors, startups, and giant game publishers alike are rushing to stake out territory that they believe will be valuable in the future.
