Who knew hackers could be so graceful?

The French publisher Ubisoft showed new Watch Dogs 2 footage during its press briefing at the Electronic Entertainment Expo trade show in Los Angeles. The open-world hacking game follows the story of Marcus Holloway, a young hacker who is a part of the anonymous online group Deadsec. Its goal is to take down greedy corporations. 2014’s well-received Watch Dogs sold more than 9 million copies, making it a no-brainer for Ubisoft to put a sequel into production.

In the trailer, Holloway teamed up with other hackers to steal evidence from a corrupt politician. He stole cars, climbed over obstacles, and hacked into people’s phones to complete his mission. Aiding Holloway is a team of remote hackers, including a strange friend named Wench, who wears animated ski goggles.

The more missions you complete in Watch Dogs 2, the more followers you earn through your Deadsec app on your in-game phone. These followers unlock more hacking abilities for you to use.

Although the first game had you running around Chicago, Watch Dogs 2 takes place in a fictional version of San Francisco. The city is an ideal backdrop for the game because the City by the Bay and Silicon Valley (and the numerous tech companies that have sprung from both) have been a center for tech culture and innovation for the past 40 years.
