Microsoft today announced the launch of the HoloLens Commercial Suite, a group of tools that should help businesses start using the Microsoft HoloLens augmented reality headset.

The HoloLens Commercial Suite includes mobile device management, the Windows Store for Business, support for Azure Active Directory, the ability to connect to a company’s network through a virtual private network, BitLocker disk encryption, Secure Boot, and a Kiosk Mode that will let end users go through demonstrations using only approved applications, as Alex Kipman, technical fellow in Microsoft’s Windows and Devices Group, wrote in a blog post. The Suite uses Windows 10’s Long Term Servicing Branch for support, and companies can require certificates to use Wi-Fi connections.

Also Microsoft is expanding the availability of the $3,000 HoloLens Development Edition, which became available in February.

“We’ve fulfilled the orders for our first waves of developers, and today I’m pleased to announce that we’re expanding the program, making HoloLens Development Edition available to all developers and business customers in the United States and Canada,” Kipman wrote. “Developers looking to join our holographic journey can go to hololens.com and purchase up to five devices. No application required!”

The HoloLens runs Windows 10, and today is a big day for Windows 10 at Microsoft — the company is also rolling out the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.

Companies can get the HoloLens Commercial Suite through their Microsoft account managers. More detail on the SKU is here.
