Forget about going fast. Sonic’s gotta go retro.
Sega has released a video detailing what comes with the Sonic Mania Collector’s Edition, the premium version of the upcoming sidescroller. Sonic Mania returns the hedgehog to his pixelated, 2D platforming roots. Since it’s a throwback to the ’90s, it’s appropriate that its commercial also has an old-school feel. Sonic Mania will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in spring 2017.
Finally, somewhere to put my tacklebox! Seriously, though, all of those goodies look like must-haves for an old fan of Sonic like me. I’m not giving that ring to some cootie-filled girl, though. That baby’s mine.
