Steep is taking a test run on the bunny hills before it makes the plunge.
Ubisoft has announced two beta periods for its upcoming open-world winter sports game that’s coming out December 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Betas can help publishers and developers find bugs and other problems with a game, but they also act as glorified demos. Players get to try a product without actually buying it, making them potential customers and ambassadors of hype.
You can sign up for the early access beta here by November 9. That will go from November 10 to November 14, followed by an open beta weekend on November 18 to November 21.
Steep is one of Ubisoft’s biggest releases for the lucrative holiday season. A successful beta could generate positive buzz, which could translate into Steep showing up on a lot people’s holiday gift lists.
