April showers bring Japanese role-playing games.
Atlus announced today during a stream on its Twitch channel that Person 5 will no longer come out in the U.S. on February 14. The PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 role-playing game is now releasing on April 4. This isn’t the first delay for the anticipated game, which was originally supposed to come out in the U.S. in late 2016. Fans of the series, which has sold over 6 million copies worldwide according to Sega (which owns Atlus), will have to wait a little longer.
On the bright side, Atlus did reveal that the PS4 version of Persona 5 will receive dual-audio downloadable content. This will allow players to experience the game in its original Japanese language with subtitles, an option that many fans enjoy.
Persona 5 is already out in Japan, where it became Atlus’s fastest-selling game ever in its home country by moving 337,767 copies in its first week.
