Telltale’s third season of The Walking Dead debuts on December 20

It looks like the holidays are about to get a little more grim.

Telltale Games has announced that the first episode of the third season of its episodic The Walking Dead games will come out on December 20 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 Xbox 360, PC, iOS, and Android. The previous two seasons of The Walking Dead have sold over 28 million episodes. The first season put Telltale at the front of the episodic gaming business, helping it secure other properties like A Game of Thrones and Batman.

Telltale will show an extended look at the first episode of season three, subtitled A New Frontier, during The Game Awards on December 1. A boxed version of the new season will come out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Feburary 7. It will include the first episode and grant access to download future episodes.
