The folks behind Archetype (iPhone/iPod Touch) and Archetype HD (iPad) would like to give 20 Bitmob members a free code to download the full games for themselves (in case you're all too cheap to foot the bill yourselves, currently set at $0.99 and $4.99, respectively).
This first-person shooter features five-on-five team play, experience points (for a leveling-up progression system), and maybe best of all, a cool "split-strike" grenade that splits into two every time it bounces.
We're going to be handing these out to random Bitmob members through the rest of December. All you have to do is comment on any stories over the next two weeks! Full rules and details below.
1. Make sure you're registered on this site with your real, full first and last name and a valid email address where we can send the code to, if you're to win (make sure @bitmob.com will pass through your spam filter).
2. Comment on any Bitmob article through the end of December. At random times, we'll check the Latest Comments box on the right side of the site (below the Mini-Mobfeed) and pick someone to give a code to (we have 10 for each title). Note: You must post a legitimate comment that shows you've read that corresponding article!
We'll continually update the comments below with a list of winners, so you can see if you missed anything. Also, if you didn't win a code in your preferred platform, feel free to comment below and see if you can trade with any other winners. (UPDATE: We just found out that the codes we have in hand have expired, so we're in the process of getting new ones. We'll keep updating the comments below with a list of newly chosen winners, but you won't get the actual prize notification with your download code until probably early January.)
By the way, we know that we've been having technical issues with the site, including random downtimes and the system logging you out. We're really, really sorry about this, and we're desperately trying to get it all fixed ASAP. Again, if you know of anyone that can help us with some Ruby on Rails programming, we could sure use it! More details here.
